Meet Amanda!
I am an enthusiastic kinesiology major and health and physical education teacher with a strong commitment to maintaining an active lifestyle. With 16 years of teaching experience, I dedicated the first 14 years of my career to Health and PE at Lakeland High School. Since 2023, I have been teaching Health and PE at Abington Heights High School, where I take pride in being the district’s sole certified CrossFit L1 Coach and teach CrossFit PE Daily.
My journey with Mission Yoga started in 2022 when I initially enrolled for yoga classes but accidentally signed up for Leah’s Hot Pilates class. Leah’s class ignited my passion for Hot Pilates, leading me to practice it daily. I’ll never forget everyone in the room in that first class singing Cher - “If I could turn back time” while smashing the workout together! I was instantly obsessed. What a vibe!
Recently, I have been appointed as an instructor at Mission Yoga, a role I am honored to undertake. Since October 2024, I have been teaching early morning Hot Pilates classes at 6 AM.
Mission Yoga has significantly influenced my life. I love starting my mornings with an exceptional group of students. The sense of community is remarkable, and I take pleasure in witnessing the growth and friendships that flourish in my classes. As both a CrossFit and Pilates instructor, I strive to keep my workout routines engaging and dynamic for my students, consistently varying the movements in each class. Teaching and starting my 6 AM mornings with my students at Mission Yoga is really a dream come true. I couldn’t think of a better way to start my day!
