Meet Kat!
I began my Yoga journey in 2012 in Pittsburgh, PA while attending Point Park University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Jazz and Modern Dance.
Originally from Little Rock, AR, I began dancing at the age of 3 specializing in Ballet, Modern and Jazz. By the age of 15, I was performing solo roles with Ballet Arkansas across multiple productions.
During my years in University, I began taking Yoga as a way to cross train and recover my body while training rigorously in dance. I am a big believer and advocate for cross training, and after falling in love with Yoga, I began to also train in Pilates and Barre.
Following my schooling, I traveled the globe performing in over 70 different countries across all 7 continents. During this time I fell in love with cirque apparati, learning and developing skills in Spanish Web, Lyra, Silks and Harness. While pursuing my career development I continued Yoga, Pilates and Barre as a means to condition my body, recenter and refocus myself after performances, and a way to interact and connect with people I met across the globe.
I am a RYT-250hr Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor and have a deep understanding for how the body functions from day to day to the stage. This all gives me special mind-body connectivity which I love to pass on to my students in whatever discipline I teach.
